About the Owner

Chad started The Bicycle Medic as a side business in Spring 2020. Over the past four years he has grown The Bicycle Medic into a full-service bicycle repair shop with loyal, returning customers each season. Chad has experience working in public safety, private security, hospitality, web development, and logistics. He is always busy learning new things and considers himself a jack of all trades. While originally self-taught, he later attended the U of Q Institute (formerly Barnett's Bicycle Institute) in Colorado Springs where he learned professional bicycle repair service.

Values

Chad values business ethics, the importance of small business in America, and time with family. He is a fourth generation small business owner whose great grandfather immigrated to America and started his own business in 1922. Bicycles are Chad's hands-down favorite pastime. They stimulate positive mental and physical health, enable quality time with family, and simply bring joy to ride. He wants to share his trade of fixing bicycles so that Minnesotans can have the best warm-weather (and for some, cold weather too!) enjoyment every season. He respects his customers budget and recycles parts that are in good working condition when appropriate.
